Visits Abroad Taster expedition

The Visit Abroad Taster is an opportunity for leaders in Clyde Region to experience an international experience prior to taking a group or unit on a Visit Abroad. This opportunity is open to leaders who have been thinking of planning a Visit Abroad but feel that they are not quite ready to do so, and are from Groups/Units who have never taken young people abroad before.
The Visit Abroad Taster will consist of a Saturday session 10.00 –15.00 on 16th May 2020 where participants will plan a Visit Abroad using current resources and gaining an understanding of the Visits Abroad procedure.
Participants must complete this practical session before visiting the Kandersteg International Scout Centre, Switzerland, on 26th - 28th June 2020 to experience at first hand the Permanent Jamboree that BP dreamed of.
The cost for the Visit Abroad Taster is £390. Participants should check with their GSL and District Commissioner to seek funding.
