Web statistics

In common with many commerical organisations we monitor the use of this website by collecting statistical user information. No personally identifiable data is collected in this process. Typically, we collect information about the number of visitors to the website, to each web page, the technology used to browse the internet and the domain from which the visitor originated. This information is used to understand the visitor's use of the website.

Cookies

Clyde Scouts uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous information about visitors using the website. This information is used to track things like visitor numbers, where they have come from and improve the site for future visitors. Four cookies are dropped by Google Analytics:

  • _utmc
  • _utmz

If you choose not to accept cookies the Google Analytics cookies will not be dropped on your computer.

You may also see a cookie called PHPSESSID. This is a session cookie created when your browser visits the website and only lasts for that visit.
