Terrain 2/Mountain Leader Refresher

Venue:  Southern Highlands

Trainer: Davy Virdee MIC

Cost: TBD Own transport required.

This workshop is open to all adults who wish to develop their personal hillwalking skills and revise their Terrain 2/Mountain Leader skills.

It would be particularly beneficial Terrain 2 permit holders or candidates wishing to refresh before attending a Mountain Leader or Terrain 2 assessment.

It is not a training course for Terrain 2.

The day will cover:

• Navigation skills
• Group management
• Security on steep ground

Pre-requisites:

• Open to all adults who are active mountain goers

Equipment needs:

• A climbing helmet if you have one.
• Usual clothing requirements for a day’s hillwalking in the Scottish mountains – a full kit list will be provided.
